Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 17, 20261. Introduction
STCnet (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and disclose your information when you access and use the STCnet Portal, directory, community forums, and services.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information about you through several channels:
- Authentication Information: Provided securely via Clerk, including your name, email address, profile image, and user identifier (UID).
- Consultant Profile Data: Information you voluntarily supply through our Airtable-embedded onboarding form, including your skills, sectors of expertise, methodologies, languages, location, bio, and project availability.
- Technical Data: Standard access logs, IP address, and browser configurations collected to ensure portal performance and secure Discourse Single Sign-On (SSO) redirects.
3. How We Use Your Data
We process your data to fulfill our network operations, specifically:
- Providing and maintaining the consultant directory where members can search, filter, and coordinate multi-disciplinary project proposals.
- Facilitating secure Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication for the Discourse community forums.
- Verifying profile completeness and displaying localized compliance, opportunities, and RFP posts relevant to your skills.
- Maintaining network integrity, security, and preventing unauthorized access.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
Your directory profile data is visible to other authenticated members of the STCnet consultant network to foster collaboration. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties. We share data only with trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., Clerk for authentication and Airtable for data storage) essential to running the service.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical security measures (such as JWT tokens and encrypted API communication) to guard your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
6. Your Rights and Preferences
You have control over your information. You can edit your consultant profile at any time via the "My Profile" tab. If you wish to delete your account or have your data purged from our authentication databases and Airtable records, please contact network administration or submit a deletion request.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make updates, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the portal constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
